Procurement Excellence: A Strategic Role

As a strategic procurement specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving end-to-end procurement processes and contracting activities.

About the Job
  • Manage supplier relationships and optimize material supply programs to drive business value.
  • Support regional procurement with data management, analysis, supplier tenders, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee supply forecasting, quality processes, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Maintain data on raw material costs, exchange rates, and local contracts.
  • Contribute to project pipeline savings through effective procurement practices.
  • Provide R&D with information on new products and opportunities for growth.
  • Authorize invoices and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Support continual improvement in operations by implementing best practices.
  • Ensure safe work practices and address safety concerns in the supply chain.
About You
  • Prior experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • High level of planning, sourcing, negotiation, tendering, and contract management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in undertaking multiple procurement activities from start to finish.
  • High level of maturity and credibility to influence others and build/maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Actively promote and advocate diversity and inclusion.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry. They should possess high-level planning, sourcing, negotiation, tendering, and contract management skills. Additionally, they must be able to demonstrate experience in undertaking multiple procurement activities from start to finish and have high levels of maturity and credibility to influence others and build/maintain strong internal and external relationships.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Business, Commerce or related field.
