Financial Crime Specialist Role Overview

The Financial Crime Surveillance team is a crucial part of the Risk Division, responsible for detecting and fighting financial crime. This role plays a key part in safeguarding the organization against financial crimes, including money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activities.

As a specialist, you will conduct comprehensive customer due diligence activities across the customer base, focusing on Institutional Banking customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Conduct thorough customer due diligence activities, specialising in institutional banking products and services.
  • Advanced Investigations: Perform sophisticated financial crime analysis, using expertise to uncover and address suspicious activities.
  • Team Support: Serve as a primary resource for analysts, offering guidance and assistance on complex cases.
  • Coaching: Conduct peer reviews to ensure the quality and accuracy of investigative work performed by the team.
  • Managerial Delegation: Act as the key delegate in the absence of managers, ensuring operations continue smoothly and efficiently.
  • Reporting Assistance: Support the preparation and management of reporting requests to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
