Purchasing Manager

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in the seamless flow of materials and supplies for production by overseeing purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and international cargo.
- Develop effective purchasing processes and collaborate with the planning team to ensure quality assurance.
- Manage stock control, coordinate onshore and offshore purchasing, and oversee transport logistics.
- Liaise with the Research & Development team, quality, and supply chain for direct or raw material variances.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting, trending, and documenting production quality-related issues and outcomes.
- Communicating daily with suppliers regarding demand and delivery.
- Adjusting orders based on variations between forecasted and actual volumes.
- Purchasing direct and raw materials.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing.
- Experience with procurement of proteins and grains is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in fast-paced purchasing environments.
- Advanced experience with Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
