Job Description

As a Legal Counsel, you will be an integral member of the General Counsel team. Your role will involve providing legal advice and support across various areas, including health, commercial, contract, and property law.

  • Health law: You will assist in navigating complex healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Commercial law: You will provide expert advice on contractual agreements, corporate governance, and business operations.
  • Contract and property law: You will review and negotiate contracts, ensuring they align with organizational policies and best practices.

You will work closely with the CEO's office to develop and implement strategic plans, advise on policy matters, and represent the organization in legal proceedings.

Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can convey complex legal concepts in plain English.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent tertiary qualification from a recognized university.
  • Admission to practice law as an Australian lawyer, with a current practicing certificate permitting you to practice as a legal practitioner in Victoria or NSW.

Professional experience in healthcare law or commercial law is highly desirable.
