About the Role

  • Overseeing high-quality legal services in a regional setting, making a positive impact on local communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and nurturing community relationships and partnerships within a designated region.
  • Coordinating services with courts, community legal centers, private practitioners, and non-legal services across the region.
  • Managing complex legal cases and supervising a dedicated legal team.

About You

  • Ability to build, lead, and motivate a high-performing legal team.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build authentic and positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in conducting complex criminal, family, and/or civil law matters.
  • A strong passion for building community and cooperative teams.
  • Effective collaboration with First Nations communities and individuals.

Requirements

  • Valid Australian practising certificate allowing practice as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple regional locations.
