Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Whyalla site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment and contributing to a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loaders, Excavators, Articulated Haul Trucks, Dozers, and Medium Rigid trucks.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in a similar industry.A valid HR or higher truck license.Previous experience working with Front End Loaders, Excavators, Articulated Haul Trucks, Dozers, and Medium Rigid trucks.All relevant certifications and tickets to operate heavy machinery.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
