Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Editor to join our team.

  • This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work from our office in Sydney (Pyrmont) and remotely part-time.

You will be responsible for creating high-quality commercial content for Qantas and its Frequent Flyer partners. This includes developing innovative ideas, writing engaging copy, and ensuring the highest standards of editing.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital or print publishing, with a background in editorial copywriting and commissioning.

You will also have excellent knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and visual storytelling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and research topics for articles, such as travel, business, food, and technology
  • Write or commission commercial content for Qantas and its partners
  • Manage your task workflow and balance multiple concurrent projects
  • Work closely with clients to agree on concepts and execute them within editorial guidelines
  • Maintain a monthly social media schedule to amplify content and drive engagement

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience as an editor or content producer at a media publisher, agency, or brand
  • Commissioning and copy editing experience, as well as the ability to manage freelance writers
  • High-level organisational skills and demonstrated experience juggling multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with solid editing skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of all social media platforms, best practice, and specifications
