Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual seeking a role where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of others? Look no further We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team, working with individuals who have Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with individuals with MND, as well as handyman skills. The participant owns a construction business, and tasks will include assistance around the home with various projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current First Aid and CPR certificate, a National Police Check, a Working with Children Check, a valid Australian Driver's License, reliable transportation with Comprehensive Car Insurance, and an NDIS Worker Screening Check. Additionally, full vaccination against Covid-19 is required.

As a Support Worker, your primary focus will be providing high-quality care to our clients, prioritizing their needs and preferences. You will work closely with the participant and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with daily living tasks
  • Support participants with activities such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Provide companionship and social interaction
  • Help with personal care and hygiene tasks

**Essential Skills:**

- Experience working with individuals with MND

- Handyman skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Empathy and understanding of participants' needs

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Current qualification in disability support or related field

- Previous experience working in a similar role

- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
