Job Opportunity
This role offers a unique chance to shape the future of rowing athletes and contribute to their technical, physical, and mental development. As a Head Rowing Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-performance daily training environments that support progression and performance at benchmark events.
- Develop and implement training programs, competition plans, and individual athlete learning and performance plans to foster growth and achievement.
- Apply contemporary coaching methods and technologies to monitor and enhance athletes' skills, fitness levels, and mental toughness.
- Maintain strong relationships with high-performance teams to ensure alignment on program delivery, athlete development, and individual coach development plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational delivery of the rowing program, including annual planning, facility use, performance services, and external partnerships.
- Talent identification and development of athletes with Olympic and Paralympic potential, focusing on their technical and physical abilities.
- Technical leadership and guidance across the rowing community, working collaboratively with clubs, schools, parents, performance staff, and other key stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- Current First Aid Certification - Level 2
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Boat Operating Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- Coaching certification in Rowing (Level 2) and other sporting disciplines at national and/or international level
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or qualification in sports performance services, sports science, strength and conditioning, performance analysis
