Rowing Coach Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rowing Coach to lead our rowing program. This is a key leadership role that will oversee the development of athletes, working collaboratively with Rowing Australia and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high-performance daily training environment for all categorised and non-categorised athletes.
  • Lead the coaching and development of athletes by delivering training programs, competition planning, and Individual Athlete Learning and Performance Plans (IALPPs).
  • Apply contemporary coaching methods and technologies to monitor and enhance athletes' technical, physical, and mental development.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Rowing Australia's high performance team to ensure alignment on program delivery, athlete development, and individual coach development plans.
  • Manage the strategic and operational delivery of the rowing program, including annual planning, facility use, performance services, and external consultants.
  • Oversee talent identification and the development of athletes with Olympic and Paralympic potential.
Essential Requirements:
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current First Aid Certificate – level 2
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Current Boat Licence
Desirable Requirements:
  • Coaching certification in Rowing (Level 2) and with other sporting disciplines at national and/or international level
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and/or qualification in sports performance services, sports science, strength & conditioning, or performance analysis
