Role Overview

The Student Wellbeing role is a vital position that focuses on addressing the diverse needs of students, encompassing individual counselling and facilitating small group therapeutic programs to promote holistic student wellbeing.

This position requires someone with strong case management skills, able to work effectively with teachers, education support staff, students, and parents to create positive pathways for young people in their lives.

To be successful, the applicant will possess suitable qualifications in Social Work or an equivalent Community Service/Youth Work qualification, enabling them to develop professional understanding and expertise in student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Addressing a range of student wellbeing needs through individual counselling and small group therapeutic programs.
  • Case management and case noting to ensure effective support services.
  • Working collaboratively with agencies, teachers, and education support staff to achieve specific objectives.
  • Developing ongoing commitment to professional understanding and expertise in student wellbeing.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in addressing various student wellbeing needs.
  • Case management skills and case noting.
  • Knowledge of suicide prevention and mental health issues.
  • Capacity to work co-operatively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to developing professional understanding and expertise in student wellbeing.
  • Suitable qualifications in Social Work or equivalent Community Service/Youth Work qualification.
