About the role
The Team Leader plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional care to residents at all times. The Team Leader supports the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care across the home, ensuring individual needs, wishes, and goals of each resident are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for career progression. The position is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with appropriate qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide social and emotional support to all residents, ensuring holistic and person-centred care.
- Support the coordination of care needs across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and hydration, pressure care management.
- Lead and supervise care on the shift, within designated wings or areas.
- Perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with qualification, state legislation, regulation, and policies.
About you
- Relevant qualifications: Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration) OR Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
- High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
- An effective listener with ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and learn new skills as required.
- Current National police check.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
- A desire to join a team committed to caring for others in a mission-based organisation.
