Research Scientist

This role involves working with a renowned research centre to contribute to innovative programs in chemistry and neuroscience.

The successful applicant will assist with drug development, testing, and data management. They will also be responsible for laboratory tasks such as synthesis and characterization of small molecules, binding assays, and in vitro assays.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering, material science, medical science, neuroscience, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of lab administration and experimental planning
  • Experience with medicinal and/or organic chemistry, and chemical analysis (including mass spectrometry, NMR, HPLC)
  • Experience with laboratory techniques such as molecular binding assays, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, and cell culture
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
