Job Description

The Australian Government is seeking two Assistant Directors to contribute to the Assistive Technology Research section.

These Assistant Directors will work closely with colleagues across the Disability Evidence Branch and external experts to establish the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC) and develop annual workplans.

They will conduct research to identify gaps in assistive technology relevant to policy and provide strategic advice to the government on evidence-related disability policy matters.

Section members will collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen links between research, policy, and service delivery for people with disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC)
  • Develop annual workplans for EAC
  • Support technical research reports for EAC consideration
  • Manage EAC deliberative processes
  • Provide strategic advice on evidence-related disability policy matters

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
