About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance Unit Leader.

The Department for Correctional Services employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending.

Our team works towards this through the contribution of staff who are employed in a wide variety of fields, from correctional officers and teachers, to social workers, psychologists and supervisors of court orders. Their commitment ensures we deliver quality services to prisoners, offenders and victims of crime. Key Responsibilities

  • SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE STAFF MEMBERS
  • OVERSEE COMPLIANCE AND SURVEILLANCE ACTIVITIES
  • PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY INCLUDING LEADERSHIP, SUPERVISORY, ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nil essential requirements
  • Desirable: Completion of or enrolment in studies in correctional administration, human services or other relevant discipline, Management, Social Work, Corrections or equivalent
