Job Opportunity
Community Corrections Officers play a vital role in shaping safer communities and transforming lives through justice and rehabilitation. This position is focused on offender rehabilitation and community safety.

Role Overview
As a Community Corrections Officer, you will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions. You will help improve the lives of diverse communities we work with by fostering positive relationships between Communities and Justice.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Case management, utilizing skills in monitoring progress and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Collaboration with local service providers to strengthen relationships and support sustainable outcomes for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
  • Upholding values and behaviors, prioritizing community safety and promoting positive relationships between Communities and Justice.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of the NSW criminal justice system.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.
  • Experience in case management, along with high resilience, integrity, and a proactive, positive attitude.
