**Correctional Officer Opportunity**

**About the role:**

Correctional officers provide safety, security, welfare and rehabilitation of inmates/offenders. They conduct daily searches and musters, locate and remove illegal and restricted substances whilst undertaking searches, manage inmates of all classifications, provide ongoing monitoring and security at all times, undertake custody related administrative duties, maintain confidentiality and work irregular shift patterns/hours of work.

**Key responsibilities include:**

  • Providing safety, security, welfare and rehabilitation of inmates/offenders.
  • Conducting daily searches and musters.
  • Locating and removing illegal and restricted substances.
  • Managing inmates of all classifications.
  • Providing ongoing monitoring and security at all times.
  • Undertaking custody related administrative duties.

**The role offers:**

**Requirements of the role:**

You must be at least 18 years old, have a current driver's license, be an Australia or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, willing and able to work irregular shift patterns/hours of work, available to work at short notice, meet minimum medical standards, be of reasonable fitness level, have foundational computer skills and no visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos.
