About the Role

The Head of Business Development, APAC is a senior leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with exceptional business development and stakeholder management skills. You will be responsible for driving growth and business strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, leading and maintaining oversight of all current and upcoming bids, and aligning business development activities to Palladium's global plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy for business development and growth in APAC
  • Oversee the development and communication of market analysis and research insights to inform strategic growth targets
  • Lead business development initiatives in APAC to ensure priority bids are managed through structured capture plans
  • Identify and influence potential business opportunities and develop compelling value propositions for all bids
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from EMEA and the Americas to pursue opportunities in APAC
  • Provide strategic advice and mentoring on business development strategy and DFAT engagement to portfolio leaders and senior leaders
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of bid development to ensure a consistent and sustainable approach
  • Build and maintain broad and deep networks and relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community and business leaders, donor representatives, and bilateral donor agencies
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the economic, social, and political context of Asia-Pacific, including familiarity with developing country contexts
  • Excellent organisational, strategic thinking, and project management skills
  • Strong networking and presentation skills, with a broad and relevant network of professionals
  • Excellent business development and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations throughout the APAC region
