
Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

At Mineral Resources, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Weipa in North Queensland.
The role involves playing a crucial part in supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains equipped with quad or triple configuration side tippers and the latest technology. This position offers a challenging and rewarding career path for a skilled mechanic looking to make a real difference.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing regular servicing, attending to breakdowns, and completing general mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our equipment is always in top condition and that our operations run smoothly.
This is a permanent full-time position on a 2:1 roster with rotating day and night shifts. Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD may be available, offering a great work-life balance for those who value flexibility.
About You- Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Current Australian Driver's License
- A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
- Experience with Kenworth T909, T509; Cummins ISX; quad and triple trailer configurations; preferably Howard Porter or Boomerang
- Diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
