Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team in Weipa, North Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains equipped with the latest technology.

This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills and knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance. As a member of our haulage operations team, you will work closely with other technicians to ensure our vehicles are always operational and meet the highest safety standards.

About the Role
  • Maintain and repair heavy vehicles including servicing and attending to breakdowns
  • Perform general mechanical repairs on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts
  • Contribute to the development of safe working practices and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised Australian Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • A current Australian Driver's License
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Experience with Kenworth T909, T509; Cummins ISX; quad and triple trailer configurations
  • Diagnostics, fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
