Job Opportunity:

The Construction Manager will oversee the construction of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System and ensure the project is delivered according to established time, cost, quality, and compliance standards.

This is a key role in the development of a major energy infrastructure project. The Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating the project team, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of zero harm by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the project meets contractual obligations by overseeing contractors and managing on-site performance.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific management plans, including quality control, budgeting, and scheduling, while ensuring robust reporting frameworks are in place.
  • Facilitate clear communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community to keep everyone informed and engaged.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing project team, focusing on alignment with business objectives and effective resource management.

Requirements:

  • Hold a technical bachelor's degree, preferably with qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in similar-sized projects with a focus on energy infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in managing construction teams and complex projects.
  • Experience with major energy infrastructure, ideally including utility battery storage or transmission substations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and mitigate organisational risks effectively.
