Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned project professional to oversee the development of a large-scale battery energy storage system.

This greenfield project aims to enhance regional energy security and stability within the power grid, supporting Australia's transition to net-zero emissions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the project team, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

A key aspect of this role will be ensuring the project is delivered according to established time, cost, quality, and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong analytical mindset, and experience in managing complex projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of safety by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the project meets contractual obligations by overseeing contractors and managing on-site performance.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific management plans, including quality control, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Facilitate clear communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community to keep everyone informed and engaged.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing project team, focusing on alignment with business objectives and effective resource management.
Key Requirements
  • Hold a technical degree in engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in similar-sized projects with a focus on energy infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in managing construction teams and complex projects.
  • Experience with major energy infrastructure, ideally including utility battery storage or transmission substations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and mitigate organisational risks effectively.
