About the opportunity
This is an important role in which you will support and assist with an extensive range of activities conducted in the Tax and Treasury function for Australia and New Zealand (NZ) including tax reporting and tax processes, tax compliance, tax advisory, management of financial risks, treasury reporting & administration, and insurance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly income tax calculations and tax group reporting packages, including tax effect accounting.
- Prepare annual income tax returns.
- Prepare monthly GST returns and fuel tax credit calculations.
- Prepare FBT returns.
- Provide tax advice to business units and specialist functions.
- Assist with financial and Group reporting requirements from a treasury perspective, including cashflow forecasting.
- Assist with transactional banking obligations, including bank platform management.
- Assist with insurance policy renewals and insurance queries from the business.
About you
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws.
- Some exposure to Treasury issues.
- Understanding of IFRS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and high initiative.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
