Cloud Virtualization Engineer Role

About the Position

This is a remote job opportunity with occasional on-site vendor support as needed. Travel and accommodation will be provided.

  • We are seeking an experienced Cloud Virtualization Engineer to install, configure, and maintain VMware and OpenShift clusters on-premises.
  • The successful candidate will monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Key responsibilities include managing user access and permissions within the OpenShift environment.
  • Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment is also a crucial aspect of this role.
  • Collaboration with development teams to optimize applications running on OpenShift is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will create and maintain documentation related to OpenShift configurations and procedures.
  • Staying updated with the latest OpenShift and Kubernetes features and best practices is vital for success in this position.
  • Collaboration with security teams to implement best security practices for containerized applications is also required.
  • The ability to manage a VMware environment is highly valued.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Cloud Virtualization Engineer or similar role is required.
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture and components is necessary.
