Job Description

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled BMS Service Technician to join our team in Mackay. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, ensuring the optimal performance of their building management systems.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about energy efficiency and has a strong background in building management systems. As a BMS Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of customers, including commercial properties, universities, and healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining building management systems, as well as troubleshooting and fault-finding.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Manage the breakdown and maintenance of building management systems.
  • Demonstrate a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to our customers.
  • Ensure that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget and time constraints.
  • Practice a high degree of safety awareness to ensure safety requirements are met onsite.
  • Participate in on-call duties, where you may need to work after hours. On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable.

The Perfect Fit:

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled in electrical or mechanical HVAC or instrumentation or controls, and has knowledge of building management systems. You should be passionate about finding and implementing energy efficiency solutions and have excellent communication skills. You should also be IT proficient with fault-finding experience and knowledge of network routers, switches, and network hardware.
