Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Service Technician to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our Digital Buildings business, you will play a critical role in optimizing energy efficiency for our customers.

The Opportunity:

Schneider Electric is transforming customer support to optimize energy efficiency. We are looking for a talented BMS Service Technician to represent us in Mackay. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, our BMS Service Technicians serve as technical partners to a diverse customer base, including commercial properties, universities, and healthcare facilities, with a significant focus on hospitals.

The Day-to-Day:

As a BMS Service Technician, you will work on installations, service, and maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding, programming, and commissioning of building management and control systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the breakdown and maintenance of Building Management Systems.
  • Demonstrating a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to our customers.
  • Ensuring that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget and time constraints.
  • Practicing a high degree of safety awareness to ensure safety requirements are met onsite.
  • Participating in on-call duties, where you may need to work after hours. On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Technical skills in Electrical or Mechanical HVAC or Instrumentation or Controls.
  • Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and a passion for finding and implementing energy efficiency solutions.
  • IT proficiency with fault-finding experience and knowledge of network routers, switches, and network hardware.
  • A passion for working with customized software solutions and products to enhance customer service for mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.
