Job Title:

Horticulture Operations Manager

About the Role:
  • The Horticulture Operations Manager will lead a team responsible for planning, managing and reviewing care and maintenance activities of various facilities.
  • This role requires supervision of horticultural maintenance activities including professional turf care, garden bed maintenance and shrub border upkeep.
  • Key responsibilities include engaging, training and supervising staff and contractors to ensure quality work delivery.
  • Preparation and management of project budgets are also crucial aspects of this role.
  • Liaison with various stakeholders, including DVA staff, cemetery authorities and community groups is an essential part of this position.
  • Representing the Commonwealth at national and state-level forums is also required.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory for this role.
  • A minimum Certificate III in Horticulture is required, with preferred qualifications being Diploma or Certificate IV level trade qualifications.
  • Project Management or Procurement and Contracting experience and current driver's license are also necessary.
