Team Leader Position

The role of Team Supervisor is a critical one, requiring a strong and experienced individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our crews and equipment.

  • This involves providing support and assistance to our Operations Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Facilitating smooth and effective operations requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular hazard assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies, reporting any incidents or issues promptly.
  • Coordinate schedules and plans to optimize resource allocation and maximize productivity.
  • Plan and conduct toolbox meetings to educate team members on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Regularly inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Record completed team tasks and overall crew performance to inform future planning and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A current driver's license is essential for this role, as is industry experience and/or qualifications in horticulture or arboriculture.
  • Proficiency in the operation of chainsaws (Level 1 and/or 2) is also required.
  • Able to work safely and independently, with flexibility to live away from home for up to two weeks at a time.
