Job Summary

This is a key leadership role that shapes the future of housing for Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families.

The successful candidate will lead the acquisition of development sites to support the organisation's growing need for new housing in strategic locations across Australia.

They will have extensive experience in acquiring residential land for development and construction, advanced knowledge of relevant planning frameworks governing urban development, excellent business acumen, customer focus, and best practice methodologies.

The role requires highly developed analytical and negotiation skills to resolve complex issues, manage challenging matters, identify and implement risk management processes to meet objectives.

Key responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders to establish and maintain strategic partnerships, demonstrating independent control to coordinate activities, and managing relationships with diverse groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead site acquisition and development projects
  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring development sites

  • Work collaboratively with teams to achieve organisational goals

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as business or property management
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in senior roles within property development, acquisitions, or related fields
  • Proven track record of delivering successful project outcomes, preferably in large-scale developments
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate risks
