Our client, a prominent and established Australian Asset Owner, engages in direct and indirect investments across a diverse range of asset classes, including cash, domestic and international fixed interest, currency, Australian and international equities, listed property, and private equity.

We are in search of a Manager for the Performance and Analytics (P&A) team. This role encompasses the leadership and oversight of the team's overall workload and resources. The P&A team is tasked with delivering comprehensive reporting and analytics for the total fund, in addition to formulating strategies for periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analytics requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategic Direction
  • Investment Performance Evaluation and Analytics
  • Managing Complex Situations
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Data Governance

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, business, IT, or quantitative disciplines.
  • Postgraduate or professional credentials such as CIPM and CFA Charter holders are highly valued.
  • Significant experience in performance and analytics across various investment sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance calculation methodologies applicable to multiple asset classes, particularly derivatives and overlays, along with a thorough understanding of the impact of unlisted investments on total fund and benchmark returns.
  • Strong familiarity with the investment market landscape. Experience in institutional funds management, industry, or superannuation funds, as well as custody and funds administration, is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to be a proactive team player, ensuring tasks and issues are followed through to completion.
