We are seeking a strategic Procurement Specialist to lead our Value Engineering Project. This role requires strong investigative and analytical skills to identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction and value addition across all business streams.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in category strategy development and implementation, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently. They will be responsible for developing plans and engaging stakeholders to execute on value opportunity projects, leveraging commercial arrangements to create measurable value.

Key responsibilities include identifying areas of opportunity for cost reduction and value addition, developing plans to execute on these opportunities, and managing market engagement with suppliers to deliver value. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.

Duties:

- Identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction and value addition across all business streams
- Develop plans to execute on value opportunity projects, leveraging commercial arrangements to create measurable value
- Manage market engagement with suppliers to deliver value
- Draft and execute resulting supply contracts as required

Requirements:

- Strong investigative and analytical skills used to find and assess opportunities for change and create value
- Ability to manage own work and deliver on spend reduction financial targets
- Demonstrated category strategy development and implementation in the mining industry
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
