As a Data Analyst for the Archive Management Team, you will work with traders, back-office teams, infrastructure/technology specialists, and software developers to deliver market data and analytics for mission-critical business initiatives. This market data is used firm-wide to generate revenue and monetize our technology investment.

You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our world-class, proprietary market data archive in your time zone, working on global initiatives with Archive Management Team members across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end acquisition, verification, and optimization of real-time market data within our proprietary technology environment
  • Build and maintain proprietary tools for configuration and process management, deployment, and monitoring
  • Design and develop high-performance computing (HPC) pipelines for data collection, validation, transformation, visualization, and analysis
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot large-scale HPC data pipelines
  • Drive system performance, reliability, and operability
  • Collaborate with other teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex system problems
  • Develop robust, scalable business solutions with cross-functional teams
  • Define, refine, and document processes and procedures
  • Perform operational and periodic on-call duties

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
    • Fluency in Python (3+ years) and SQL
    • Bash shell and Linux fundamentals
    • Quality-driven engineering including unit testing and Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Untiringly inquisitive and self-motivated
    • Team player with a culture of iterative change and rapid adaptation
    • Rapidly changing priorities and finding balance between technology advancements and production quality and stability
    • Understanding the entire technology stack, process flow, and dependency trees
    • Perseverance and quick learning of business concepts and internal priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with C++
  • Practical understanding of Linux operating system and filesystems, including network and system configuration, kernel internals, scheduling, performance tuning
  • Networking concepts such as routing, multicast, LLDP, ethernet
  • Database concepts and applications
  • Cloud storage and computing concepts and applications
  • Metrics and logging for performance and reliability improvement

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience
