Job Overview

The Department of Housing and Urban Development seeks a Team Leader to support the delivery of homes and housing options for South Australians. The successful candidate will have experience in planning, development, and infrastructure, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

About This Role

  • You must have knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and the functions associated with Land Division.
  • You must have knowledge of the Community Titles Act 1996 and the functions associated with Land Division.
  • You must have proven experience in supervising a team.
  • You must have a high level of written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate to a wide audience.
  • You must have extensive experience in identifying customer needs, developing strategies and providing quality customer service.
  • You must have experience in coordinating investigations and preparing reports on matters of some complexity and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities

The Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Supervising a team of staff to ensure effective delivery of projects and programs.
  • Providing guidance and support to staff to improve performance and productivity.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction.
  • Coordinating investigations and preparing reports on matters of some complexity and sensitivity.
Qualifications and Experience

No specific qualifications are required for this role; however, a degree in a related field such as planning, law or business would be highly regarded.
