Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is a pivotal role that oversees the smooth execution of daily vessel operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all tours run on schedule, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

About the Role
  • Oversee the daily operations of the vessel, guaranteeing seamless tour delivery.
  • Manage the full guest experience from boarding to disembarkation, upholding exceptional service standards.
  • Lead onboard food and beverage operations, ensuring quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor onboard procedures, health & safety protocols, and cleanliness, ensuring a pristine environment for guests.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and debriefs with staff, fostering open communication and teamwork.
  • Coordinate closely with shore-based operations and management to ensure seamless communication and logistics.
  • Proactively address and resolve guest feedback and issues, providing prompt solutions.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise crew members to maintain a positive, high-performing team culture.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of management experience in customer-centric environments.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in managing food and beverage operations, including service standards and compliance.
  • Current residence in Brisbane is preferred.
  • Permanent rights to work in Australia are required.
  • A valid driver's license allowing you to drive in Queensland is essential.
  • RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain) is necessary.
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced service environments is highly valued.
  • Strong background in customer service and guest engagement is crucial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage international guests, are vital.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Calm under pressure, with excellent problem-solving abilities, is essential.
  • A positive, hands-on leadership style with a team-first attitude is expected.
