We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Victim Support Specialist to join our team at the Department of Justice and Community Safety. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing support and guidance to victims of crime.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to inbound and outbound calls from victims and service providers, providing accurate and sensitive information about the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS).
- Communicate with victims in a trauma-informed and culturally safe manner, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Provide up-to-date advice on victim financial entitlements and other supports available to victims of crime.
- Collaborate with the FAS Contact Centre Supervisor to ensure seamless communication and coordination with stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in a call centre environment, with a strong focus on customer service and communication.
- Understanding of victimisation, with a strong emphasis on the nature and dynamics of family violence and sexual assault.
- Experience using Salesforce Service Cloud or other similar case management systems.
- Qualifications in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services, and/or family violence.
As a Victim Support Specialist with the Department of Justice and Community Safety, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of victims of crime. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working towards a common goal of providing exceptional service and support to our clients.
