Project Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Brisbane Building Services Team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects across various sectors, including Healthcare, Defence, Industrial, Transport, Infrastructure, and the 2032 Olympics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Lead on certain projects, gaining exposure to client management and further developing design/project management skills.
  • Prepare electrical design documentation, including electrical power distribution and reticulation systems, lighting design, standby power generation, and lightning protection.
  • Work on various projects across the full project lifecycle, from tender preparation and design delivery to construction support across different sectors.
  • Mentor junior engineers, assisting with their professional development while working closely with other design disciplines in project teams.
  • Contribute technically to the development of engineering proposals across bids and tenders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working on building services projects as a Senior Electrical Engineer with solid design experience.
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree with 5+ years' experience in a consultancy or contractor.
  • Knowledge of Australian electrical engineering design standards, codes, and practices, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1680, AS/NZS 2293, and the BCA.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software, including MS Office, PowerCAD, Bluebeam/Adobe, and preferred experience with AGI 32 and Revit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Australian Citizenship and RPEQ (highly desirable).
