About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in a design consultancy specializing in electrical, instrumentation, and industrial control system solutions. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and project engineering water infrastructure, including electrical and instrumentation designs, LV and HV designs, MCCs, and switchrooms.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical and instrumentation designs that meet specifications and Australian Standards
- Design and develop LV and HV designs, MCCs, and switchrooms
- Perform arc flash calculations and design reviews
- Coordinate the configuration and commissioning of electrical and control systems
- Write accurate technical documents, specifications, and engineering materials
- Take ownership of electrical design projects and collaborate with the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a utilities industry in a design and/or project capacity
- Strong understanding of Australian and industry codes and standards
- Strong understanding of principles of safety in design and hierarchy of controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
