About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane Building Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of projects across various sectors, including Healthcare, Defence, Industrial, Transport, Infrastructure, and the 2032 Olympics.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Lead on certain projects, gaining exposure to client management and further developing your design/project management skills.
- Prepare electrical design documentation, including electrical power distribution and reticulation systems, lighting design, standby power generation, and lightning protection.
- Work on a variety of interesting projects across the full project lifecycle, from tender preparation and design delivery to construction support across various sectors.
- Mentor junior engineers, assisting them with their professional development while working closely with other design disciplines in project teams.
- Provide technical assistance and contribute to the development of engineering proposals across bids and tenders.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on building services projects as a Senior Electrical Engineer with solid design experience.
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree with (ideally) 5+ years' experience in a consultancy or contractor.
- Knowledge of Australian electrical engineering design standards, codes, and practices, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1680, AS/NZS 2293, and the BCA.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software, including MS Office, PowerCAD, Bluebeam/Adobe, and preferred experience with AGI 32 and Revit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Australian Citizenship and RPEQ (highly desirable).
