About the Role
Our hospital is a multidisciplinary veterinary facility, comprising three key departments: Emergency and Critical Care, Small Animal Internal Medicine, and Surgery. Our mission is to deliver exceptional emergency and specialist services, with our emergency department operating 24/7 year-round.
We offer advanced diagnostic imaging options, including MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy, and Ultrasound. In-house laboratory tests are performed using an internal IDEXX laboratory station and ABL90 flex blood gas.
Our team includes dedicated veterinarians, veterinary nurses, customer care representatives, and clinic assistants who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
The Job Details
- We offer permanent part-time and casual positions, combining hospital shifts and consulting shifts, as well as varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
- A supportive and collaborative team environment will be your second home if you're new to ECC; we offer shadowing shifts with experienced ECC vets to guide you through.
About You
- You must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent, with Veterinary Registration in Victoria.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency veterinary practice is preferred but not essential.
- A strong team player committed to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere is required.
- Eagerness to contribute innovative ideas that enhance the hospital's growth and success is desirable.
- Dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care is expected.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with colleagues, pet owners, and referring veterinarians, are necessary.
