IT Operations Specialist: Data Center Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled IT operations specialist to join our team and contribute to the successful design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

About the Role:
  • Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
  • Undertake and support management of both routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Install new rack capacity and provision power/cooling infrastructure to meet growing demands.
  • Manage on-site contractors and vendors to ensure efficient project execution and optimal resource utilization.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and conduct thorough analyses to drive continuous improvement.
  • Generate change management requests and incident management tickets to facilitate effective issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support data center IT managers and business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage facility assets and generate comprehensive reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive projects to increase current facility capacity and efficiency, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new data center facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant electrical or mechanical experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical fields is necessary; data center engineering experience is highly preferred.
