Job Title: Senior Economic Development Officer

This role involves providing expert advice to senior leaders on strategies to improve economic outcomes for Aboriginal people, communities and businesses.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives aimed at supporting the establishment and growth of Aboriginal businesses.

The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to build partnerships with regional stakeholders to inform policy and improve economic outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on effective ways to engage Aboriginal businesses and organisations in shaping new policies and programs.
  • Working with analysts and service providers to design innovative approaches to improve economic self-determination.
  • Leading a team to identify, develop and deliver initiatives and projects aimed at supporting the establishment and growth of Aboriginal businesses.

  • Experience providing expert advice to senior leaders.
