Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of traffic engineering projects, including intersections, cycling networks, and streetscapes.
  • Conduct thorough Road Safety Audits, crash analysis, and Traffic Impact Assessments.
  • Manage consultants and project briefs through design phases, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance to support capital works and development projects, driving successful outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in traffic engineering, transport planning, or civil engineering.
  • Proven experience in traffic engineering design and operations, preferably in an urban or local government context in Australia.
  • Strong understanding of transport design standards, Road Safety Audits, and TIAs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver results.
