We are looking to bring on a Graduate Urban Planner to our team in Perth.
This would be an immediate start.ResponsibilitiesProvide statutory and strategic planning advice for urban design related and multi-disciplinary projects covering project visioning, development strategy, master planning, development guidelines, form-based codes and regeneration strategies and statutory proposals for subdivision, scheme amendments, development applications, local development plans and structure plansCoordinate the preparation of documentation, strategies and applications for proposals in the urban development sector and support the team to ensure outputs meet statutory and strategic planning requirementsLiaise with client, key government and industry representatives to resolve urban development challenges and other project issuesUndertakes research and obtain insights, conclusions, and recommendations from complex data and incorporate into strategies and projects across urban planning, place, urban design, economics and social value disciplinesAssist with community engagement preparation and participationTimely, accurate work of a high quality that is delivered within budget allocations and is effective in achieving quality outcomes for client projectsYou will bring to the roleA degree and strong academic record in urban planning from a recognised institution1-3 years' urban planning experience, preferably in WAAn understanding of the WA planning system and urban planning/design issues and statutory requirements for planning at different scales and contextsA team focused work ethic, excellent written and verbal communications skills, sound analytical skills and a client service ethosDemonstrated passion for the built environment and the delivery of sustainable communitiesCurrent right to live and work in Australia (i.e permanent residency or citizenship)You will have opportunities toDevelop mentoring relationships with experienced professionals and expertsAchieve individual career goalsWork in a flexible framework and environmentContinuously learn and develop through a variety of challenging work experiences and career pathways, including tailored professional development programsAttend networking events, opportunities and activitiesCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete project deliverables for clientsTo applyCover letter outlining why you are interested in working for Hatch and your key skills, interest and attributes;1-2 page resume; andA portfolio with a selection of work you personally created.Don't meet every single requirement?
