Urban Planning Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of strategic urban planner in our Perth-based planning department. This is a key position that will play a vital role in driving positive change in our community through the development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives.

  • The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of the Local Planning Strategy, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • This role involves advancing urban greening projects, requiring strong planning expertise and the ability to think creatively.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive urban renewal and growth
  • Support the development and implementation of precinct structure plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance urban greening projects
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver within tight timeframes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in strategic urban planning within local government
  • Strong understanding of planning frameworks and precinct structure plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
