Job Title: Assessment Manager

The Assessment Manager will lead a team responsible for assessing financial assistance applications, providing victim recognition statements, and coordinating victim recognition meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a diverse team of senior assessors, assessors, and recognition support officers to deliver quality services and meet service targets.
  • Manage daily operations, including resource allocation, incoming work management, staff communication, report completion, and auditing outputs.
  • Provide escalation and advice on complex applications, considering established policy, guidelines, and procedures.
Team Leadership:

As the Assessment Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and staff are informed and engaged.

  • Support senior assessors, assessors, and recognition support officers to deliver quality services.
  • Provide guidance on complex applications, adhering to established policy and procedures.

  • Has extensive experience in managing teams with decision-making functions.
  • Demonstrates strong diplomacy and judgment skills to provide accurate, clear, and comprehensive decisions within defined timeframes.
  • Is deeply committed to actively pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organization.
Requirements:

A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services, and/or family violence is essential.
