
Financial Assistance Process Coordinator

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Payments and Business Support Manager to oversee the high-volume payment function, ensuring efficient payment of assistance to victims of crime.
This role will lead a small team to coordinate and approve financial assistance payments, guaranteeing quality assurance, continuous improvement, auditing, and reporting for operational processes.
The successful candidate will also support the scheme with budgeting and financial reporting, leading quality assurance and continuous improvement for operational processes in the scheme.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and approve high volumes of financial assistance payments with significant financial delegation.
- Provide advice on payment queries within the scheme.
- Guarantee quality assurance and continuous improvement for operational processes in the scheme.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leading finance, payment, and business support functions in a high-volume processing environment.
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, including finance, business or public sector administration, and experience overseeing operations in a service sector environment is desired.
