Water Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing daily technical support to regional conventional water treatment plants operations across the state.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of water treatment processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with operations teams to drive operational excellence through strong safety practices and innovative problem-solving.

The position is based in Osborne Park with regular travel required to regional sites. You will be responsible for leading remote and site-based support for operations of water treatment facilities, including technical scientific or engineering investigations, design and commissioning activities.

You will also contribute to the provision of specialist advice on design standards and operational requirements for new treatment plants, and lead and contribute to the development of treatment operations processes and technology to enhance operational outcomes.

In addition, you will manage team assets laboratory equipment instruments corporate vehicles including QAP testing and vehicle safety checks. You will also lead and contribute to relevant strategies communicating recommendations through technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering field
  • Considerable experience in conventional water treatment process design operations or troubleshooting
  • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Operations and maintenance and technical knowledge
  • Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills
