Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

StarFlight Australia is a joint venture between LifeFlight Australia and Linfox group delivering specialist helicopter operations for Medical Transport, Search and Rescue, Aerial Law enforcement, and Aerial firefighting across Australia.

About the Job

We are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team at Hobart / Cambridge Airport Facility supporting StarFlight Australia Aeromedical, SAR and Air Law Enforcement operations in Tasmania.

Working a 7/7 roster, you will be responsible for ground handling, stores general housekeeping, conducting assigned planned and unplanned maintenance activities on B412 and H145-D3 Helicopters:

  • Assist in aircraft role change overs
  • Ensure Facilities comply with AMO MOE and Regulatory standards
  • Support ground handling requirements and washing of aircraft
  • Assist Stores when required
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components
  • Execute maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance personnel, pilots, and regulatory authorities coordinate activities and address safety concerns

Requirements

You must possess a Trade Qualification in Aircraft Maintenance, experience with B412 and H145-D3 Helicopters, and be willing to upskill from an AME or non-Type rated LAME. You should also have full-time working rights in Australia, comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements, basic computer literacy, effective communication skills, organisational and problem-solving skills, and a resourceful attitude.
