Design Management Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to lead the development of large-scale construction projects.

This key role involves managing design teams, collaborating with construction professionals, and ensuring buildability, sequencing, and efficiency across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will possess an architectural background, experience in value management, and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing design development, coordinating consultant teams, and delivering high-quality designs on time.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Design Manager/Architect to join our team and contribute to the success of our construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage design development across large-scale construction projects
  • Collaborate closely with construction teams to ensure buildability, sequencing, and efficiency
  • Identify and implement value management opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce waste
  • Act as the key design interface between the builder and clients, understanding client drivers and ensuring design outcomes align with project goals
  • Drive consultant coordination, ensuring timely delivery of documentation to support procurement and delivery
  • Proactively resolve design issues, mitigate risk, and support the construction team through all project stages
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Architectural background with experience in tier one commercial, mixed-use developments, Health and or Education
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology and delivery programs
  • Proven ability to value manage and work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Experience supporting builders in both pre-construction and delivery phases
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
  • Ability to lead consultant teams and manage design packages in a live construction environment
