Job Title: Community Recovery Specialist About the Role:Leverage your personal journey of recovery to empower others, providing targeted outreach support and psychosocial services to individuals referred to our innovative Assertive Outreach Drug and Alcohol Program. Key Responsibilities:Engage with clients, develop rapport, and identify areas for improvement. Encourage goal achievement by sharing your story and demonstrating a positive role model. Liaise with CRSWs to support clients in developing their own support plans. Maintain accurate case notes and files. Support our community education program to reduce stigma associated with addiction. Requirements:Must have lived experience of addiction and a level of recovery that enables you to share personal experience. Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs and/or Peer Work. Current Senior First Aid Certificate. Current Driver Licence. Previous experience working with people with mental health issues or at risk of homelessness. Comprehensive understanding of the Recovery Framework and underlying principles.
